Ann-Sofie Back for Fred Perry Blank Canvas

Fred Perry commissioned Swedish designer Ann-Sofie Back to develop a capsule for the brand's Blank Canvas campaign.

Based on her creativity, Back has created a range of garment that are so appealing that we can't afford to just let it pass.

This collaboration was seen circulating on tabloids last October, however, we decided to show this cos' we think it's definitely worth it. A little out-dated, but it's definitely worth it.




According to the site, Back drew inspiration from products and issues that made her felt uncomfortable.

Conor Oberst and The Mystic Valley Band - Outer South

American singer/songwriter Conor Oberst and his backing band The Mystic Valley Band unveils their second studio album titled Outer South due out on May 5 through Merge Records, their second with the label.

The new album features dozens of new tracks featuring not only Oberst's writing skills and compositions, but also share contributions from the other bandmates.

The Mystic Valley Band comprise of Taylor Hollingsworth, Nik Freitas, Macey Taylor, Nathaniel Walcott (Bright Eyes) and Jason Boesel (Rilo Kiley). Oberst is also a member of Bright Eyes.

Raf Simons x Fred Perry Spring/Summer 2009

Raf Simons and Fred Perry once again got together for a second collaboration to insert a new collection for Spring/Summer 2009.

Unlike the last season, this collection seem to widen their usage of it's color palette and different sorts of fabrics.

Street Sweeper Debuts

Following the footsteps of his bandmate Zach de la Rocha, Rage Against The Machine's Tom Morello has formed a new rap rock supergroup called Street Sweeper, along with Oakland's hip hop act The Coup's Boots Riley.

Initially was just a mere special guest appearance duet at Morello's alter-ego solo act The Nightwatchman shows, both have since shown commitments to this supergroup and have announced a forthcoming debut album sometime this year. Galactic's Stanton Moore is filling in on the drumming duties, however, was not announced whether he will be a full time member of the supergroup.

The Mosaic Begins

A long wait since last year's Broken Social Scene, the annually held Mosaic Music Festival returns to bring you another electrifying line-up this year!

Jarvis Cocker Announced Second Solo Album

Best known for his major roles in Pulp, English musician Jarvis Cocker has announced information on his second solo effort, as rumored to be titled Further Complications. Set for a May 18 release, this album will see another producing duty by the great Steve Albini.

Puma RS100 "Crocs Inspired"

Drawing inspiration and concept from Crocs, Puma has released it's RS100 applying the EVA formula onto it. Solely refering to the holes and coincidental material similarities, the closest we can link to is to them. However, we can say it's pretty stunning, and foresee it could be extremely lightweight, just like the Crocs. Perhaps, it may not be a good thing for what RS100 is madesom for. Anyway, if you're looking for ething fresh, you may get this at Flauge.

Grizzly Bear - Veckatimest

Brooklyn-based indie rock group Grizzly Bear and their third studio album titled Veckatimest.

Effective electronic pieces compiled as one, forming a gigantic force of harmonies, a major cause of music action.

The Warp Records-signing band scheduled May 26 as the release date. The album title was named after an island in Massachusetts.

New iPod shuffle

We could not imagine how small can it get further than this. Earlier, Apple introduced a shrinkage version of it's iPod shuffle. Despite the obvious difference of the player, a new feature has been included in this tiny piece, where the gadget tells you what song is playing at the moment off usage.

Since there isn't any screen to view what song is on, it definitely does a lot better with a voice-assisted directory to pick your favorite track. Pack in a 4GB memory, retailing at only RM309 ($79 USD).

Magik Markers - Balf Quarry

Magik Markers is an experimental noise rock band started in a basement in 2001. If you're up for some noise action, we truly feel this is a gutsy one to explore.

The band gained favorable reputation after opening for Sonic Youth in 2004, and was later signed to Thurston Moore's label Estatic Peace!. They have released a handsful of LPs, EPs and split albums.

On April 2009, the band will unveil another new release tentatively titled Balf Quarry with Drag City. Recorded by award winning producer Scott Colburn.

Bob Dylan And His 33rd Album

Legendary influential music figure Bob Dylan is not settling down just yet, and has unveiled his next album, his 33rd album since 1962. At the age of 67, he's still a rock gem just like old times. His 2006 release Modern Times bagged him another Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Folk/Americana Album.

The forthcoming album features 10 new tracks from the star, that will release sometime next month.
